When the concept of a skid-steer loader was fully developed, with a growing number of customers finding new and new ways of using this machine, the company decided to give the car new functions. Having received a new name, a new logo, a new color scheme, the Melroe loader became a new machine – a machine that will conquer success all over the world.

Manufacturers wondered how best to position a new car? The new forklift was perfectly suited for use in fertilizer and dairy farms, so the forklifters stopped in white for painting the body, which was associated with cleanliness and disinfection.

In order to find the best and unique name for the loader, they turned to the dictionary, sorting out the names of different animals: a lion, a tiger, a jaguar, a panther and, after all, a lynx. The dictionary gave a description of the trot (in English “bobcat”), which sounded like “a strong, fast, dexterous animal.” Eureka! So the brand appeared Bobcat.

History of BOBCAT

• Initially, the company was called “Melroe Manufacturing Company”, and the name BOBCAT was first voiced in 1962, so called one of the models of the loader. The company gained popularity mainly thanks to the first mini-loader, invented almost 50 years ago in the USA for mechanization of labor-consuming loading and unloading operations in farms.
• In 1977, the Bobcat technique first entered the market of the USSR, mostly small-sized universal machines.
• In 1991, the official exclusive dealer of the American company Melroe, Scott-European Corporation, opened the first Moscow dealer center of the Technoplaza.
• From 1995 to July 2007, Bobcat was a division of Ingersoll-Rand Company, currently owned by South Korean company Doosan Infracore.

The list of manufactured equipment includes: compact excavators, loaders, bulldozers and other hydraulic equipment.

Because the rotor is connected to the shaft (7) by splines, the rotor turns the shaft. As the rotor turns, the previously exposed ports are covered and the previously covered ports are exposed. The fully extended piston assembly next passes over an exposed port.
As the piston rollers follow the inner diameter of the rotor housing, the rollers force the piston assembly toward the shaft (7). The hydraulic oil that is in the cavity is forced through the exposed port by the inward motion of the piston assembly. The hydraulic oil then returns to an annular passage. The oil then flows out of the port (13). This oil is the low-pressure loop.
The port (14) provides a case drain for the oil that leaks past the piston assemblies and from the flushing valve (6). The flushing valve is a shuttle type valve that provides a means for the oil to flow to the hydraulic oil cooler. The cooled oil will cool the motor. The flushing valve also provides a means to flush harmful
particles from the motor.
The oil that flows through the flushing valve flows from the low-pressure side of the drive loop. When the oil pressure in the annular passage increases, the oil pressure acts against the spool for flushing valve (6). The oil pressure overcomes the force of the spring . The oil pressure forces the spool to shift. When the spool shifts the spool opens a path to the return manifold for the oil that is in the annular passage.
